Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) Stymied by Tigers, Lose 9-3

It was a tough day on Tuesday for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity), who lost 9-3 to Tigers
Tigers got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Tigers.
In the bottom of the second inning, Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) tied things up at two when Aiden North singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Tigers pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Brooks Vosburg drew a walk, scoring one run, Derek Doty singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, and Brady Grife singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Braxton Shaffer was on the pitcher’s mound for Tigers. The fireballer surrendered three runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out five.
Caleb Cohrt toed the rubber for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). Cohrt allowed six hits and seven runs over three and a third innings, striking out one. Jarrod Parks and Garrett Roethler entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) tallied six hits. Parks and North each collected multiple hits for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). North and Parks each managed two hits to lead Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity).
Doty went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Tigers in hits. Tigers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Vosburg made the most plays with six.
