Oskaloosa Indians Varsity Falls to Fairfield on Walk-off

A walk-off left Oskaloosa Indians Varsity on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Fairfield on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with Fairfield batting in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run for Fairfield.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Fairfield pitchers struck out six, while Oskaloosa Indians Varsity sat down three.
Fairfield got things started in the second inning when Woodburn’s sac fly scored one run for Fairfield.
In the top of the sixth inning, Oskaloosa Indians Varsity tied things up at two when an error scored one run for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity.
Allen toed the rubber for Fairfield. The ace lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six and walking one.
Logan Hoskinson was on the hill for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. The pitcher went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out three and walking one. Jarrett Czerwinski threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
