Oskaloosa Indians Freshman jumped out to an early lead over Knoxville and took home a 9-5 victory on Thursday. Oskaloosa Indians Freshman scored on a walk by Jaden DeRonde, a walk by Wyatt Grubb, a walk by Ty Lorentzen, a walk by Griffin Snitker, a walk by Maddux Ashman, and a single by Carter Blanco in the first inning.
Knoxville scored three runs in the fourth inning, but Oskaloosa Indians Freshman still managed to pull out the victory.
Trevor Willet got the win for Oskaloosa Indians Freshman. The righthander allowed three hits and four runs over three and a third innings, striking out two. Caden Johnson threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Grubb went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Oskaloosa Indians Freshman in hits.
