Oskaloosa Girl Scouts Sponsor Second Annual Just Desserts

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Girl Scouts will sponsor its Second Annual Just Desserts auction in March to raise funds to send Oskaloosa Girl Scouts to camp this summer. The auction will be Saturday, March 24 in Penn Central Mall’s Center Court at noon and will continue until all desserts are sold.
Items to be auctioned will be entries created by Oskaloosa Girl Scouts competing in a cake decorating contest with judging in five categories — Happy 100th Birthday Girl Scouts!, yummiest, best use of Girl Scout cookies, best use of a Girl Scout theme and non-cake.
Other activities for families to enjoy during the event include face painting, a buy-it-now bake sale, crafts, and Barnyard Billy. Hot dogs, walking tacos and pop will also be sold.
Last year’s event raised nearly $2,000 that went directly back to Girl Scouts to cover camp costs. Anyone with questions about the event should contact Oskaloosa Girl Scouts by leaving a message at 641-673-5168.
