Oskaloosa Fareway Helps Raise Money For MDA

Fareway Assistant Manager Kevin Paltz sported a new hairdo Monday afternoon after being banished to the roof of Fareway

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Visitors to the Oskaloosa Fareway were greeted from above, for a time, on Monday by two Assistant Managers that were sitting on the roof of the store.

The Managers had agreed to be sent to the roof if the clerks were able to raise $2,000 dollars for the MDA. In the end, $2,305.00 was raised, and Grocery Assistant Manager Kevin Paltz even turned his hair green for the occasion. He was joined on the roof by Meat Department Assistant Manager Jason Haskin.

The contest started March 1st and came to an end on March 17th. The duo was on the roof “until it starts raining or another half hour or so,” was the comment by Paltz.
