OHS Girls Golf Just Short Of State Appearance

Yesterday our girl golfers competed in their regional tournament at Edmundson golf course. It was the best day of the year for golf and our girls played their best round of the year! We shot a 425 as a team and finished in 7th place out of 9 teams. We were led by Emerson Lee, Amelia Meador, and Reese Milburn who shot 100, 103, and 106 respectively. We were only 38 shots out of 2nd place which would have gotten us to state. To put that in perspective, our first 18-hole score was 556. We improved by 131 strokes from just 7 weeks ago. We return everyone for next season so our future looks pretty bright as long as we continue to play this summer! I am really proud of these girls!
