Music Garners Weekly Award

Oskaloosa–Kayla Music (Fr., Corpus Christi, Texas) parlayed two titles into league hardware as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week Monday.
Music picked up her first-ever honor after winning a pair of events at the Central Athletics Classic last Saturday.
The freshman was first in the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.05 seconds and was also tops in the 200-meter dash event in 26.73 seconds.
In just three meets thus far in her young career, Music has won three events, has been in the top-10 on two other occasions, and has set a new school record.
The award is the first for the team this year.
