Mitchell Honored by Heart

Oskaloosa–Lucy Mitchell (So., Poulsbo, Wash., Psychology and Human Services) outperformed the field and for her efforts she was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Bowler of the Week Monday.

Mitchell won her first career laurel by posting a career day at the NAIA West #1 last Saturday.

At the tournament, the sophomore was first out of 106 bowlers with a 205.8 average in five games (1,029 total pins). She reached the 200-pin mark in four of her five rounds.

It is her first career win and the first for the program since the 2021-2022 season.

For the year, Mitchell owns a 185.1 average in 23 games with a high game of 232.

The weekly accolade is the first of the year for William Penn.
