Loring, Baez Dilone Collect Player of the Month Honors
Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced its November Players of the Month.
Football player Destynd Loring (Sr., Charleston, S.C., Sports Management) was named the male recipient, while women’s wrestler Victoria Baez Dilone (Grad., Madrid, Spain, Master’s of Sports Management) earned the female honor. Loring’s win is his third, while Baez Dilone is a first-time recipient.
In five games during the month, Loring rushed 143 times for 770 yards (5.4 per rush, 154.0 per game) and 11 touchdowns. The senior managed four 100-yard games with a high of 192 in WPU’s NAIA Football Championship Series First Round game. In the win over Texas Wesleyan on November 22, Loring also scored four touchdowns.
Additionally, Loring caught 11 passes for 120 yards and a score.
Baez Dilone opened November with a technical fall in the season-opening dual against Baker. The graduate student then posted a perfect 6-0 record at the Missouri Valley Open on November 22. In her title at the Open, she collected three falls and a technical fall.
