Library Teen Advisory Board Holds Annual Sale Fundraiser

Oskaloosa Public Library's Teen Advisory Board held their annual garage sale in the basement of the Oskaloosa Public Library

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Spring time brings yard sales and other similar activities. For a group of teens, it was an opportunity to raise money for the Oskaloosa Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board.

The sale ran from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the basement of the Oskaloosa Public Library. Money raised helps to fund teen events at the library.

At around 1:30, the group had raised $127.53.

Hanna Sampsel said that board members of the library and community members donated the items sold at the sale.

Youth Librarian Linda Fox said that some of the teens had been working all week preparing for the sale by getting items priced.

The Youth Advisory Board holds different activities, such as dances and events like the Cemetery Walk, which helps to bring the history of Oskaloosa into the present.
