Oskaloosa–Olivia Lange (Jr., Buckeburg, Germany, Business Management) broke a school record last week and that helped her to net additional recognition as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.

Lange earned the first award of her career after a record-breaking outing at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational last Monday and Tuesday.

The junior finished 10th overall (62 golfers overall) with a three-round score of 219 (74-71-74), breaking the school 54-hole record that had stood since 2019. She recorded 10 birdies and one eagle during the event.

Through five rounds this fall, Lange has a stroke average of 74.8; all five rounds have been in the 70s. She has placed in the top 10 in each of her first two tournaments.

The weekly award is the program’s first this year.
