Lange Takes First Heart Award of Senior Campaign

Oskaloosa–Olivia Lange (Sr., Buckeburg, Germany, Business Management) used a winning performance to claim the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honor Monday.

Lange, who is now a five-time weekly recipient (first this year), guided the Statesmen to the team crown at the Bill Johnson Memorial last Monday and Tuesday.

The senior opened with a 75 and then match that effort the following day for a winning two-round score of 150. She tallied one birdie against just seven bogeys en route to the title.

For the year, Lange owns a 75.7 stroke average over the span of six rounds with a low round of 69. She is a two-time tournament medalist this fall and has been in the top 10 in all three of her competitions.

The award is the first for WPU this year.
