HM Award to National Qualifier Alexander

Oskaloosa–Tarah Alexander (So., Cedar, Iowa, Undecided) had a terrific season debut and was rewarded for it as the all-Midwest Collegiate Conference teams were announced today.

Courtesy of a top-15 finish, Alexander was named to the honorable-mention squad. The MCC’s top seven runners were placed on the first team, while nine more runners received honorable mentions for being in the top 15 or for being their school’s top runner (if not in top 15).

Alexander, who was the league’s final individual national qualifier, was ninth on the 5K Jones Memorial Park course in a time of 20:50.

St. Ambrose’s Rebecca Wilder was tabbed as MCC Harrier of the Year for last weekend’s win, while her coach Dan Zeimet picked up Coach of the Year laurels for the sixth time.
