GRINNELL MEN’S SOCCER SQUAD EARNS TEAM ETHICS AWARD FROM NSCAA

Grinnell College Athletics

GRINNELL, Iowa – The 2011 Grinnell College men’s soccer team has earned the Team Ethics Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Eighty-two teams, including eight men’s squads, received either the Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the Team Ethics Award. The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the Laws of the Game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.

Coach Brian Jaworski’s Pioneer squad was one of 16 teams to earn the Bronze Award, which is presented to teams that receive no red cards and a maximum of 10 yellows.
