Gov. Branstad to visit Western Iowa communities affected by flooding
(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today announced that he will be clearing his public schedule on Thursday, June 2, 2011 to visit Western Iowa communities that are being affected by flooding along the Missouri River.
Joining Gov. Branstad will be Derek Hill, administrator of Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Gov. Branstad and Hill will hold a news conference with local officials to brief the media on flood preparation and response on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 12:30 at The Security Institute Lobby of Western Iowa Tech Community College Campus.
