Gov. Branstad signs disaster proclamation for Tama County following severe storms
(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today issued an emergency disaster proclamation for Tama County in response to this morning’s severe weather.
In the early morning hours of Monday, July 11, 2011, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornados passed through Iowa causing downed limbs, trees and power lines. Tama County officials requested state assistance restoring power outages caused by this storm system.
The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of these storms.
