Frances Marie Pope, age 89, of Fremont passed away February 23, 2014 at her home in Fremont.
Frances was born March 21, 1924 in Fremont to Charles Emery and Edith Blanche Brown Davis.
She attended school in Fremont. On August 6, 1943 she was united in marriage to Mervin Pope. He died January 18, 1986. They made their home in Wright for many years, where Frances was a homemaker. Then in 1984 they moved to Fremont.
Frances enjoyed watching the birds and doing crafts.
Frances is survived by her two daughters: Connie Letner of Ten Mile, Tennessee and Edith (& Don) Kurth of Brunswick, Georgia; a son: David (& Deb) Pope of Hedrick; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother: David “Jay” Davis of Sun City, Arizona; and a sister: Alice “Jean” Boozé of Pella.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters: Kathryn Witt and Ruth Adams; and four brothers: Paul, Wayne, Chuck and Lloyd “Tubby” Davis.

Interment: Fremont, Iowa
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials may be given to the Fremont Rescue Unit.
