Eating in Season discussion

Oskaloosa, Iowa – A discussion of Eating In Season will be held at the Mahaska County Extension Office will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 7 pm.

Many with the desire for one’s food to not have traveled many miles before consumption often concentrate on eating locally produced food; especially fruits and vegetables.

Our discussion will concentrate on eating fruits and vegetables in season, food preservation and storage (including tips), and local foods. The event is hosted by the Mahaska County Master Gardeners. It is free and open to the public. All interested gardeners are encouraged to attend.
