Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa School Board will be welcoming four new members in the coming month as Carl Drost won the at-large seat over Kraig Van Hulzen and incumbent Lin Yoder.

The September 10, 2013 voter turnout was at 8.2% of the 10, 978 registered voters in the Oskaloosa School District.

For the second election in a row, the sitting board president has been defeated. Neal Hadden won over sitting board president Susan Boxler in Director District 3.

Two of the other three uncontested seats will also be filled with first term board members. In Director District 6 it will be Shawn Moyer, and in Director District 2 it will be Shelly Herr. The Incumbent Tom Richardson also ran unopposed and will be representing Director District 5.
