Dianna Smith

Oskaloosa. Dianna Lee Smith, 53, of Oskaloosa, died on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at her home in Oskaloosa. She was born Thursday, December 20, 1956, at Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Billy J. and Twyla Williams Smith. Following school she worked as a waitress at the café in the Downing Hotel, and later as a nurse’s aide at Siesta Park Nursing Home in Oskaloosa. She attended Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa; and enjoyed that very much.

Her family includes her son: Shaun (& Ann) Smith of Oskaloosa; a grandson: Ezakel James Smith; a brother: William “Bill” Smith of Oskaloosa; and an aunt: Barb Fetters of Promise City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Dianna Smith will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 1 pm in the Bates Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Promise City Cemetery near Corydon at a later time. Visitation will be held in the Bates Funeral Chapel Tuesday after 11 am with the family present at the funeral chapel Tuesday from 11 – service time to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the Dianna Smith Memorial Fund.
