Community Members Hear Survey Results

A proposed early childhood development and recreation center would be located near the Lacey Complex and Oskaloosa Elementary School.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The process of deciding the best approach for a new recreation center and early childhood development center took another step forward this week, when Triangle2 presented their findings to community members.

The study session was held to present the findings of the market analysis that was generated by Triangle2 Solutions, and presented by Lori Swann.

The survey was collected from Mahaska County residents, via telephone interviews with several hundred conversations taking place.

No decisions were made at the Tuesday presentation, which members of the Oskaloosa City Council, Oskaloosa School Board, and YMCA board members attended.

Swann did tell the crowd that there appeared to be sufficient interest and potential revenue for the center; she saw no apparent red flags with the project going forward.
