Central’s Paulson on academic team

Central College

PELLA—Central College junior Sarah Paulson (Ottumwa) is a member of the Capital One Academic All-District VII At-Large team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

She was a second-team selection.

Paulson, a standout with the Dutch women’s golf squad, carries a 3.74 grade point average with an exercise science major. An all-America honoree as a freshman in 2009, Paulson was the Iowa Conference medalist and MVP in 2008 and 2009, then missed last fall’s tournament while studying in Europe and recovering from injury. She had five top-five tournament finishes this spring, placing first at the Central Invitational April 8-9 while taking second at the Grand View Invitational (April 3-4) and the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational (April 16-17).
