For Mayor, Denny Doud will be taking on the incumbent mayor, Dave Krutzfeldt.
In 1st Ward, the incumbent Aaron Ver Steeg will be challenged by two individuals. Lauren McMahan and David Allgood look to fill that seat.
In 3rd Ward, the wife of Mahaska County Supervisor Mark Doland, Jennifer Doland, will be challenging the incumbent Doug Yates.
In the At-Large race, two seats are up this year. The two incumbents, Scottie Moore and Tom Walling are being challenged by a trio of candidates. Most recognizable among those names is Jimmy Carter, who previously served on the Oskaloosa City Council. He is joined by Shaun Smith and Wyatt Russell.
