Boswell Announces $1.1 million for Ankeny Regional Airport

Leonard Boswell

Washington, DC – June 16, Congressman Leonard Boswell announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded $1,164,335 to the Polk County Aviation Authority to improve runway safety at the Ankeny Regional Airport.

“As a pilot, I personally understand the importance of maintaining our general aviation and commercial airports throughout the state,” said Boswell, a senior Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. “While serving on the Aviation Subcommittee, I have fought for investments that keep Iowa’s smaller airports running and safe for Iowa businesses and private aircraft, and I will continue to be a voice for aviation in Congress.”
