Beaver Wins Second Runner Award of Fall
Oskaloosa–D’Artagnon Beaver (Sr., Rockford, Ill., Human Services) claimed top honors once again as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award was announced Monday.
Beaver, who is now a three-time weekly award recipient in cross country (second this season), helped the Statesmen to sixth place at the Mount Mercy Seminole Valley Stampede last Saturday.
The senior finished third in a huge field of 212 runners, crossing the line in the 8K race in a time of 24:58.7. The time is a personal best for him and ranks third all-time in William Penn harrier history.
Beaver’s time currently leads the entire Heart.
The award is the second for the program in 2024.
