Baseball Team Gives Back at 9/11 and at Christmas Parade
Oskaloosa–As part of the NAIA’s Champions of Character initiative, members of the William Penn University baseball team volunteered their time to help at the Annual Oskaloosa Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade December 1-2.
The team, which has now volunteered for the event for each of the past 16 years, assisted with security and parking at the parade.
“It is our pleasure and responsibility to be able to help out our community in any way we can,” Head Baseball Coach Mike Laird said.
The program also assisted the Chamber of Commerce with set-up and take-down of Oskaloosa’s 9/11 display on the downtown square earlier this fall.
