Babe Ruth continues its season despite the rainy weather at the Lacey Recreation Complex. “We are happy that games have continued nightly even with the wet season as the fields are in such great shape,” stated Sherry Vavra of MCRF. The JR Babe Ruth season (13 – 15 yr olds) are playing throughout June. Osky White played Newton Red on Monday 6-13 and Osky Black vs’d Osky Maroon on Thursday June 16th. . “It has been great to play on the new fields,” said Steve DeJong coach of Osky White. “I can’t wait until the grass is growing around the outside and everything is complete. I know the kids enjoy the dugouts!”. All of the teams are getting to use the new fields and will play in an 11 team double elimination tournament Saturday and Sunday, June 18th and 19th.
