All Stars take the field at the Lacey Recreation Complex!

Boys All Stars take the field

Mahaska Little League began their Little League International All Star Tournament this week. Competition was strong and the crowd was spirited at the Lacey Recreation Complex.

Four of the little league All Stars teams took the fields in two back to back all star games. Despite the humid weather, each game brought a crowd of 150 spectators to the complex. In the first game, the 9-10 yr old division, Mahaska American team from Oskaloosa defeated Grinnell all stars in a score of 13 to 5. The second game, the 11-12 yr old division, Mahaska American team from Oskaloosa defeated the Mahaska Midwest team from Pella in 4 to 1 Osky victory.

The tournaments will continue through July 17th for the major boys.
