Oskaloosa–Marc Wilson (Sr., Los Angeles, Calif., Physical Education) was as efficient as a player can be, helping him to be named Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday.

Wilson garnered his second weekly honor by leading William Penn (10-5) last week. The Statesmen, went 1-1, snapping their nine-game winning streak, but are still 10-1 after starting 0-4. The senior averaged 25.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in addition to four steals, two assists, and one block. He shot 75.0% from the floor (75.0% 3-PT) and was 92.3% from the line. The forward averaged more than a point a minute (1.3/minute) by scoring 51 points in just 40 minutes of action.

He had one of the best single-game showings in program history. While his 30 points in 22 minutes against Bethel (Kan.) was impressive, it was the fact that he did not miss a shot that was truly jaw-dropping. Wilson was 11-for-11 from the field (2-for-2 3-PT) and 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.

For the year, Wilson is averaging team bests in points (17.4) and rebounds (7.4) in addition to 23 assists, a team-high 22 steals, and eight blocks. He is 58.3% from the floor (42.3% 3-PT) and is 75.4% at the line.

The award is the third for WPU this year.
