8th Grade Girls Win At Knoxville

by Coach Alexandria Eckenrod

The 8th-grade volleyball girls started their season at Knoxville last night. The A team won in 5 games fighting back and forth to get bring home a win! We started out very shaky but they pulled it together in the end. We had some great serving streaks and kills by many! They continued to give their best effort during each match and really showed us how to play as a team. The B team gave it their best effort but fell 3-2. I was highly impressed with the energy and effort that all the girls brought last night! The C team came out with great intensity and won 3-1. We were very impressed with their serving and their ability to work as a team. The D team fell short last night going 1-4. Even though they struggled, they never got down on themselves and continued to build their teammates up.

The B team is back in action on Monday at PC. Everyone will be back in action next Thursday against Pella as our home opener. Coach Long and I were impressed overall and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings. Go Indians!
