City of Oskaloosa Is Looking For Your Photo Submissions
Oskaloosa, Iowa – Mayor, Council and Oskaloosa Residents –
The city is in the process of updating and redesigning the website www.oskaloosaiowa.org. As part of this update, the city is collecting professional quality photos from the community that could be included on the city’s new website. The photos need to be a good representation of Oskaloosa and allow us to show off our community in the best way possible. Specific items that come to mind include, events: Sweet Corn Serenade, recreation: Lacey Complex, historic buildings: city bandstand or the Iowa Building, etc.
Do you or any of your friends or family have photos they are willing to donate to the city for this project? If so, photos must be submitted to the Oskaloosa city hall at 220 S. Market Street or email at city@oskaloosaiowa.org by 5:00PM, OCTOBER 21, 2011.
All submitted photos must meet the following standards:
- 800 x 600 pixels in size
- 72 dpi and in jpg format
- Pictures should have center of interest
- Pictures should represent the “best of Oskaloosa”
Unfortunately, the city is not in a position to provide compensation or royalties for any photos submitted to the city for the website project. Photos submitted to the city can be used at the discretion of the city and without the future or prior consent of the owner and without compensation.
