Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Area Chamber and William Penn University would like to invite area residents to attend a community celebration event on March 25, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Penn Activity Center (PAC).
As a community, we have much to celebrate; from victories at the Lacey Recreation Complex, to victories in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Oskaloosa native and Super Bowl Champion, Tyler Sash is known for his humble spirit, strong work ethic and commitment to overcoming challenges. For these qualities and many more, Sash was chosen to be a recipient of a key to the City of Oskaloosa. During the event, the celebration of youth, family, community, and character will climax with Mayor Dave Krutzfeldt presenting Tyler Sash with the key to the city.
Youth. Family. Community. Character. Individually, they are simply words, but together these are the things that make Oskaloosa special. Through the activities held at the stadium, participants and spectators gained a renewed sense of community pride. Student athletes and youth learned the value of team work, dedication and good sportsmanship; all valuable lessons that will help them become successful adults and future leaders.
Sash exemplifies the qualities and characteristics our community is proud to instill in our youth and the success that comes with a strong work ethic and determination. Join us on March 25 as we celebrate the generations that make our community great!
