WPU Advances One Spot to #16

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s golf team picked up one position as the NAIA released its fifth top-25 poll Friday.
William Penn, which is receiving 273 points, is 16th in the nation. The squad is now joined by Mount Mercy (T-34th) as representatives from the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the poll.
Keiser (Fla.) continues to be a unanimous #1 with 529 points and all 19 first-place votes. SCAD Savannah (Ga.) is second, while William Carey (Miss.), Dalton State (Ga.), and Cumberlands (Ky.) round out the top five.
William Penn travels to Oklahoma City, Okla. Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Susan Maxwell Berning Classic hosted by Oklahoma City. Play will be contested at Lincoln Park Golf Course.
