William Penn University Awards Over $1 Million In Scholarships To Local Students

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The William Penn University faculty, staff, and administration are thrilled to have over 100 students from Mahaska County enrolled for the 2012-2013 school year. These students join the increasing Statesmen population and attribute to over $1 million in scholarships awarded to Mahaska County residents.
William Penn University will award Academic Scholarships and Mahaska County Scholarships to students graduating from local high schools with grade point averages of 3.0 and above. William Penn is proud to be accepting dedicated learners who are ready to be successful college students. William Penn University also offers scholarships for participation in organizations and athletic programs on campus such as choir, band, theatre, campus ministry, football, soccer, basketball, and many more.
Ten percent of the 2012 Oskaloosa High School graduating class will be attending William Penn University in the fall, five of which were awarded academic scholarships on Thursday, May 17 at the Oskaloosa Awards Night. Recipients were Kalob Gist, Shaina Hansen, Joseph Kminek, Megan Dursky, and Cheyenn Fallis.
We are proud of these young leaders who have made a positive difference in their community and will continue to do so through William Penn University.
