William Penn To Organize RAGBRAI Team

William Penn University

Strap on your helmet and slather on the sunblock, William Penn University is organizing the first ever team of alumni, faculty, staff, students, friends and family to participate in RAGBRAI™ this summer! Now in its 40th year RAGBRAI™, which stands for The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa™, is the oldest, largest, and longest bicycle riding event in the world! The route averages 468 miles over 6 to 7 days and changes every year to include different host communities that welcome riders from all over the county.

Participants can register online by visiting www.RAGBRAI.com. After clicking on the registration tab, fill out your information and finish by joining the WPU Alumni Group. A registration fee of just $270 will cover your RAGBRAI™ fee, the support vehicle fee AND get you an official, custom WPU cycling jersey! What a great way to represent William Penn University across the great state of Iowa! Non-riders can also order jerseys to show their support or to give away as gifts by contacting Jodi Greiner at 641-673-1047 or greinerj@wmpenn.edu.

Registration and payments, made out to William Penn University, must be received by no later than March 26, attention: Jodi Greiner, 201 Trueblood Avenue, Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577. We must have a minimum of 20 people signed up by that time in order to proceed with this adventure.

Experience Iowa like you’ve never experienced Iowa before. Join us for an exciting bicycle ride from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River with a group of William Penn alumni, family and friends. Contact Jodi Greiner today for questions or to reserve your spot on the WPU Alumni Group during RAGBRAI™ 2012.
