CMU took the following bout, but the navy and gold put an exclamation point on the team win with back-to-back technical fall shutouts. Kaylah Johnson (So., Houston, Texas, Biology) won 11-0 over Tambria Wilson at 170 pounds, and Andrea Smith (Jr., Rochester, N.Y., Sociology) dropped Shainne Whited 10-0 at 191 pounds.

“Big shout-out to Coach Megan Black-Campion for making tonight’s dual so memorable,” Head Coach Jake Kadel said. “She did an amazing job organizing a special event to commemorate the outstanding soldiers we have on our team and they showed up to compete tonight. Our ladies were excited to compete and the results showed. I thought we did a pretty good job of getting to our offense and scoring points. We look forward to making this event bigger every year.”
