WARRIORS BLANK DRAGONS 2-0 TO CAP TEXAS TRIP

August 25, 2025

Paris, TX – The Indian Hills Women’s Soccer squad capped its season-opening trip to Texas with a 2-0 win at Paris Junior College (TX) on Monday. The Warriors move to 2-1-0 overall on the year.

Following a 5-0 win over Cisco College (TX) on Sunday, the Warriors dropped the Dragons with a goal in each half from sophomore Arnicka Louis (Castries, Saint Lucia/Sir Ira Simmons). Monday’s meeting was the first all-time match between the two programs.

Indian Hills struck first in the 43rd minute as Louis was on the receiving end of an assist from fellow sophomore Kiara Levac (Sudbury, Canada/E.S.C. I’Horizon). Freshman Annabelle Combes (Valence, France/Tezenas du Montcel) maintained the one-goal advantage in net for the Warriors before Louis doubled up the lead in the 89th minute. Louis buried a goal on an assist from freshman Jenevieve Kuriki (Pleasant Hill, IA/Southeast Polk) for the final tally.

Indian Hills recorded 11 shots in the win, including nine on goal. Combes secured her second shutout of the year with five saves for the Warriors.

The Warriors are set for their home opener this weekend with the annual IHCC Classic. The three-day, five-match event gets underway Friday afternoon at the IHCC Soccer Complex with a pair of non-Indian Hills matches. The Warriors’ lone match of the weekend will be against Western Wyoming Community College at 11:00 AM on Sunday.
