Tristan Workman, 37, of Spokane, Washington and formerly of Delta, died Monday, November, 22, 2021. Tristan Eldon Workman was born April 27, 1984 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Don and Kathy Neifert Workman.
Tristan attended Hilltop Christian Academy and Oak Crest Homeschool. Tristan was dual-enrolled at Sigourney High School in order to play Savage/Cobra football. His senior year the Savage Cobras were crowned State Champions.
His favorite activities included: camping at Lake Red Rock, bus trips with What Cheer Travelers and holiday trips to Minneapolis- including one visit when he and Papa James roller bladed around the inside of the Metro Dome. Tristan enjoyed Youth Group at Jubilee Family Church, especially the New Years Eve Talent Shows and summer camp. Tristan was an active member of the Monroe Movers 4H Club for nine years. He participated in showing rabbits, sheep and photography. Several of his photographs went on to the Iowa State Fair.
Growing up on the farm allowed Tristan to develop an excellent work ethic and a variety of skills that served him well in the work place. He worked various places including: Econo Foods, Wes’ Café, Carriker Ford, ProLine Construction and Benders Foundry. He took one year of welding at Indian Hills Community College. Tristan also helped his dad tear down barns and worked for Mike Gatton building storage sheds.
After moving to Spokane, WA, Tristan worked at Ugly Duck, a wholesale supplier and most recently at The Couer d’Alene Window Company as a night supervisor.
His hubbies were rockhounding, rock tumbling, hiking and photography. He loved to spend time at Riverside Park/Spokane Falls and riding his motorcycle. Anytime he returned home he focused on building Treehouse 3.0, enjoyed Delta Days and meeting his nephew, Jeremiah.
He is survived by his sons, Jarrin and Cargin Robinson; his parents, Don and Kathy Workman; a sister, Holly (Jeff) Ridenour; his nieces and nephews, Tacy, Will, Sarah and Jeremiah; Gramur (Neifert). He also leaves behind aunts, uncle, cousins and many friends.
Tristan was preceded in death by his Grandpa Bob and Grandma Barb Workman; an uncle, Denny Workman; and Papa James (Neifert).
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Jubilee Family Church in Oskaloosa.
Burial will be held privately in the Friends Cemetery at Oskaloosa.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
