THE SECRET GARDEN SEEKS OSKALOOSA STUDENTS
OSKALOOSA, IA — Calling all kids! Auditions for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of The Secret Garden will be held on Monday, January 14th at the George Daily Auditorium at 4 p.m. Approximately 60 students in kindergarten through 12th grade are needed to fill all the roles. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive at the scheduled starting time and stay the entire two hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 10-15 minutes after tryouts. This is a group audition so no preparation is required. Students should just come with a smile and ready to have fun!
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the end of the audition. Rehearsals will be conducted Tuesday, January 15th through Friday, January 18th at the Daily. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. Cast members scheduled for the full 4½ hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack.
Performances of The Secret Garden are Saturday, January 19th at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. and run about an hour in length. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students, and group rates are available!
The Missoula Children’s Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. This coming year more than 65,000 cast members across the globe will take to the stage to the delight and applause of their families, friends, community, neighbors and teachers! This opportunity is made possibly by the sponsorship of MidWestOne Bank, the Sunrise Kiwanis of Oskaloosa and the Kiwanis Club of Oskaloosa.
