The Green Dress Project Is Successful In Helping Find Dresses New Homes
Oskaloosa, Iowa – With many proms and other formals in the near future, the Green Dress Project has been helping young ladies find dresses. The William Penn Alumni Association has been coordinating the project, now in its 4th year.
“The Green Dress Project is designed for families that are unable to afford prom dresses for their daughters. We want to make sure that any girl who wishes to attend prom is able to and look beautiful doing it!” Is the statement released by the project earlier in the year.
This next Thursday, February 23rd, the Green Dress Project will once again be at the Musco Technology Center on the campus of William Penn University. It will be held from 4 to 8 pm on the second floor of the building.
February 11th, there were 29 dresses that found new homes at 11 different schools in the area, with a low-cost of $10 a dress.
