The 7th Grade Volleyball team was in action twice last week.

On Tuesday, the girls would host Norwalk.
The A-team would play tough, but would fall in all 3 games with scores of 19-25, 19-25, and 14-25. The team was led by Bailee Smith with 4 aces and 1 kill followed by Camryn Schultz with 2 aces, 1 kill and 1 dig, Kassie Johnson with 2 aces, Lydia VanVeldhuizen with 3 digs, Addison McKain with 1 kill and Kenzi Meyer with 1 ace.
The B-team would also play tough, but would go 1-2 with scores of 22-25, 23-25, and 25-16. The team was led by Olyvia Swanson with 4 aces followed by Kelsey Alderson with 3, Lydia Johnson with 2, Hannah Quang with 1 ace and 3 digs, Asia Thompson with 1 ace and 4 digs, and Reese Milburn-VanWyk with 1 dig.
The C team would have a back and forth battle, but came out just short 2-3 with scores of 11-15, 3-15, 15-12, 15-4, and 9-15. The team was led by Hayley VanArkel with 6 aces followed by Taylor Six with 3, Zoie Biddle with 2, Maci Huebschen and Emma Adams with 1 a piece.
The D team would find a lot of success with a 4-1 win with scores of 4-15, 15-9, 15-5, 15-11, and 15-8. The team was led by Kaleigh Braden and Grace Glover who each had 6 aces followed by Lilly Heckenburg with 4 aces, Madi Andrews with 3 aces, and Brianna Davis with 1 ace.
The A and B team would be in action on Saturday in the Grinnell Tournament. The A team would face both South Tama and Grinnell. Both games were back and forth with a lot of great play. The girls would fall to South Tama 1-2 with scores of 25-23, 14-21, and 20-21 (the game clock ran out). The team was led by Bailee Smith with 8 aces followed by Camryn Schultz with 5 aces and 3 kills, Lydia VanVeldhuizen with 1 ace and 1 kill, Ellie Voss with 1 ace and 1 kill, and Addison McKain with 1 ace.
The game against Grinnell would again be back and forth, but would fall 1-2 with scores of 16-21, 21-23, and 21-16. The team was led by Camryn Schultz with 10 aces and 1 kill followed by Kenzi Meyers with 4 aces, Bailee Smith with 2 aces and 1 kill, Lydia VanVeldhuizen with 1 ace and 1 kill and Ellie Voss with 1 ace.
The B would also face South Tama and Grinnell and came away with 2 victories. Against South Tama, the scores would be 21-15, 21-14, and 12-21. The team was led by Asia Thompson, Hannah Quang, Kylie Davis, Sarafiona Gituma, Kelsey Alderson, and Reese Milburn-VanWyk with 3 aces each followed by Hayley VanArkel with 1.
Against Grinnell, the scores would be 21-11, 21-19, and 19-21. The team was led by Asia Thompson with 4 aces followed by Hannah Quang with 3 aces, Kelsey Alderson , Kylie Davis, and Olyvia Swanson with 2 each and Reese Milburn-VanWyk and Sarafina Gituma with 1 a piece.
The girls are in action once this week as they travel to Newton tomorrow night with game time starting at 4:30.
