Terrah Sellers, 38, of Sigourney, died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Terrah Lynn Sellers was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on October 21, 1983, the daughter of Terry and Linda Bowen Troutfetter.

Terrah was a 2002 graduate of Ottumwa High School and later attended Wesleyan College.

Most of her working career Terrah worked as a CNA at Ottumwa Regional and Mahaska Health Partnership. Most recently she was employed at Pella Corp.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Hilltop Chapel of What Cheer.

Terrah enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, raising chickens, and drawing. She always looked forward to riding around Sigourney on their golf-cart and spending time on the farm giving her undivided attention to piglets. Terrah had a strong compassion for animals in need and would always have room for just one more. She was never afraid to make friends with people that society would often shun. She was always known for having an open heart to anyone that needed a friend.

Terrah is survived by her husband, Christopher Sellers; her parents, Terry and Linda Troutfetter; a brother, Theron Troutfetter; her mother and father-in-law, Mike and Naomi Sellers; a brother-in-law, Randall and Chelsy Sellers. She also leaves behind a niece and nephew, Remington and Ruger Sellers.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rollin and Juanita Troutfetter; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Arlene Bowen; forever parents, Nana and Papa Gilland; and her two loyal friends, Benelli and Diesel.

Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
Burial will be held privately.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
