Oskaloosa–Leonardo Teixeira (Sr., Sao Paolo, Brazil, Business Management) has been one of several offensive heroes in William Penn’s tremendous start to 2013 and his contributions from last week helped him to be named Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Teixeira garnered his first career league honor as he helped the Statesmen (7-2) to three consecutive wins last week. The senior scored three goals (two game-winners), including two versus Mount Marty on Friday. He also found the back of the net on Wednesday against St. Mary (Kan.).

Teixeira’s four goals this fall are tied with three of his teammates for the squad lead. The MCC honor is the second for WPU this year.
