Oskaloosa–The William Penn softball team finished off its 2014 campaign with another appearance at nationals and was rewarded for its season as the NAIA released its postseason top-25 poll Wednesday.

The Statesmen (36-20, 19-4 MCC) are unofficially 31st with 33 votes. The navy and gold claimed both the Midwest Collegiate Conference regular and tournament crowns to qualify for the NAIA National Championship Opening Round–its fourth trip to the postseason.

National champion Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) is a unanimous #1 with 560 points and all 20 first-place votes. William Carey (Miss.), Reinhardt (Ga.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), and St. Gregory’s (Okla.) round out the top five.

The complete poll can be found at http://www.naia.org/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27900&ATCLID=209517047
