Statesmen Earn Silver at Columbia

Columbia, Mo.–The William Penn dance team competed in the first of two meets this weekend as it participated at the Columbia Cougar Classic Friday.

William Penn placed second out of three programs with 69.47 points, while Missouri Baptist won the tournament title with 72.27 points.

“This week we had to make some changes within 48 hours of our performance,” Head Coach Abby Reynolds said. “I think our athletes really fought for it and worked as a team to accomplish that performance. We have some little things to look at for Sunday, but I see a very bright future for this team and what they are about to do.”

Next Up: The Statesmen return to Oskaloosa Sunday to host the William Penn Classic. WPU will perform at 2:15 p.m.
