Service Organization Recognition Event‏

On Saturday, February 4, the William Penn University men’s and women’s basketball programs take on Iowa Wesleyan starting at 1:00 p.m. During halftime of the women’s game, President Ann Fields and Mayor Dave Krutzfeldt will honor members of service organizations in Oskaloosa and the surrounding area.

In appreciation for their exemplary service and leadership, members and volunteers involved in organizations such as AAUW, Kiwanis, Imagine the Possibilities and the Salvation Army, along with many others, will gain free admission into both games and will be recognized as part of the women’s halftime program.

William Penn University strongly believes in the character-building act of servant leadership demonstrated through our mission statement and core curriculum. By helping those in need, we strengthen the community and ourselves.

The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in this simple gesture to show appreciation to the men and women serving our community.
