Oskaloosa, IA, Friday May 30, 2014: Impact Martial Arts will be conducting a women’s safety course titled “Self-Defense Ladies Night” from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. This will be a fun and exciting course designed for women of all ages and abilities. Self-Defense is more than just learning some fancy Karate moves. Students will learn the essentials of effective, powerful striking, how to break free from any hold, grab, choke or bear hug, how to use your voice as a powerful tool for self-defense, understanding the psychology of violence, pre-attack indicators, the difference between predatorial and territorial attacks and how to control, neutralize, understand and de-escalate a potential situation and more.
Dustin Bunnell of Impact Martial Arts would like to invite major corporations, foundations, business owners, professionals, women’s groups and individuals to show their support for this event and to demonstrate the importance of empowering and strengthening our community through unique and alternative health events in the Oskaloosa area.
