Search Warrant Results In Multiple Charges
From an Oskaloosa Police Department Press Release
Oskaloosa, Iowa – On 7/13/12 at approximately 1:00am members of the Oskaloosa Police Department, Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, Mahaska County Drug Task Force and Iowa State Patrol executed a narcotics search warrant at 1510 South Market St, Oskaloosa, IA. Methamphetamine, marijuana, Schedule II,III, and IV controlled substances, prescription medications, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and a handgun were all seized from the residence. Scott Leroy Barker was arrested on the scene and charged with Possession of more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine with intent to Deliver, Possession of Marijuana with intent to Deliver, Possession of Schedule II and III Controlled Substances with intent to Deliver,Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substances with intent to Deliver,Possession of a Firearm by a Felon,Failure to file drug tax stamp and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs.
Scott Leroy Barker was booked into the Mahaska County Jail and is currently being held without bond.The most serious charge faced by Barker is a Class B felony, punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Kelly Sue Gridley was also arrested on the scene and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, and was booked into the Mahaska County Jail. She was later released with a promise to appear.
A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
