Ronald Joe Silvers, 72, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away Friday morning, October 7, 2016, at MHP Hospice Services Serenity House in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Ronny Silvers, son of Everett and Rachel (Dickerson) Silvers, was born July 9, 1944, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Ronny attended Oskaloosa Schools. Ronny was married to Joyce Marie Phillips and to that union 3 children were born, they later divorced.

Ronny worked at Mahaska Bottling and later at Clow Valve Company in the foundry for 15 years. He later occupied his time by taking on “Handy-Man Projects”.

Ronny enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchild and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan.

Ronny is survived by his daughter, April (& Rocky) Lancaster of Ottumwa; two sons, Joey Silvers and Cory Silvers both of Oskaloosa; 8 grandchildren: Brittney, Devin, Tisha, Austin, Tyler (& Dakota), Brady, Andrew and Kyle; and one great grandson, Aden.

Ronny was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Gail McKee and Joyce McMullen.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel, the family will be present from 2-4 p.m. to greet relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 10, 2016 at First Assembly of God church.
Memorial donations may be made in his name and will be determined at a later date.
