Reed Lauded for Third Time in 2023

Oskaloosa–Madison Reed (Sr., Shakopee, Minn., Secondary Education) guided the Statesmen to two more wins and for her efforts she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Monday.

Reed won her third career award (all this season) as she notched two more victories for William Penn.

In last Tuesday’s win over Missouri Valley, the senior posted three saves in a lopsided win.

She then stopped eight shots (17 attempts faced) along with two ground balls in last Saturday’s triumph against Culver-Stockton.

For the year, Reed is 7-0 with a 6.99 Goals Against Average. The senior has 57 saves with a .538 save percentage. She has 10 ground balls to her credit as well.

The award is the fifth for the Statesmen this season.
